How is the premium estimated?

AsliCost uses a planning table of rupees per lakh of cover by age, then adjusts for term length, gender, and tobacco, and adds 18% GST. It is not an insurer’s rate card or a medical quote.

Can I use a quote I already have?

Yes. Switch to “Your quote” and enter the annual premium before GST. The planner then shows monthly cost, total outlay, and cost per lakh of cover.

How is suggested cover calculated?

Accepted Answer

Income × years to replace, plus loan outstanding, plus another goal (for example a SIP target), minus cover you already have, rounded to a lakh.
